Hi, I’m Melanie.

I’m a small town, farm girl, single mum, big family, community loving, Civil Celebrant.

With a background in education and administration, officiating weddings and events was a natural progression and I made it official in 2023.

I developed a love of public speaking from a young age while watching my father MC wedding receptions and charity events.

When I first was asked to MC a wedding I was thrilled and I loved digging my toes into the task of leading an audience through a journey of information and entertainment.

I have since developed a wealth of knowledge in the wedding industry, have witnessed the full spectrum of what there is to offer, and I’m here to guide you through this momentous occasion.

Much of my previous career had been in education, working many years in outback Australia with rural families. I have travelled widely both within our beautiful Australia and internationally.

The variety of culture that we have around us is forever a passion, though there is no place like home. I am blessed to live on my family farm in beautiful Calico Creek, southeast QLD.

As a celebrant, I am engaged to write and conduct a range of ceremonies that include Weddings, Funerals, Naming Ceremonies, Memorials, Milestones, MC duties and more. When performing these roles I take my job extremely serious and see my role as one to help lighten the load whilst still in a relaxed and enjoyable way.

I aim; to reduce your stress and anxiety, provide advice, support and guidance, to ensure your ceremony meets and hopefully exceeds your expectations.
